Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
Experience REQUIRED:
New graduate to up to 2 years of work experience as a Physical Therapist
Experience PREFERRED:
Previous affiliation or work experience at a similar facility
Education/training REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy
Education/training PREFERRED:
Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy
Independent action(s) required:
Patient evaluation and implementation of plan of care, discharge planning.
Ordering equipment.
Representing department at rounds and discharge conferences.
Scheduling and charging patients.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
Employee may have supervisory responsibilities of Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Technicians, students, and volunteers.
Employee is a member of a self-directed team and applies his knowledge and experience in daily clinic problem solving.
The team will bring unresolved issues to departmental manager for assistance and guidance in their resolution.
Additional position requirements:
Schedules and work hours will be established with your specific Manager. Schedules, including weekends and holidays, will be required based on the unit's organizational and staffing needs.

Physical - Lifting 50-100 lbs.
